Overworking in the Video Game industry is more apparent than ever.

Video Game industry workers are outraged after hearing about how the video game company Rockstar Games is treating their employees. The development of their newest game, Red Dead Redemption 2 has been hyped up by fans ever since the announcement of the production, and even more so since their teaser trailer at E3, a popular media and pop culture convention. Because of this, the company mentioned earlier has been pushing their workers even harder in order to make the game as good as it can be before the game’s official release. Although this may seem good, for the fans of the series, it’s taking a toll on the workers of the game, with many of them having to work 100-hour weeks. Although the development of video games becomes more rushed near the release date, with overtime a common occurrence, this example is extreme.
